I am a retired pharmacist and have lived in Kegworth with my wife, Carole, since 1995. I have been a member of the Parish Council continuously since I was co-opted to fill a casual vacancy in September 2013. I was elected Chairman in September 2016 following the resignation of the chair and re-elected to the chair in 2017 and 2018. This year I decided not to stand for chairman in order to give others the opportunity.

One of my interests is to keep a keen eye on the finances of the Council, I am mindful that it is important to know where every pound comes from and where each pound goes. To this end, a computerised finance system (Scribe) was introduced in early 2015 and has been continually refined by our current Clerk who is also the Responsible Financial Officer for the Council. Every cost has been examined and suppliers for many services have been changed which has benefited the Council's finances.

In 2015 I undertook the design and production of an 8 page Newsletter for Kegworth which is now published three or four times a year. In 2016 I chaired the working party that successfully transformed an overgrown and under utilised recreation ground into Sideley Park, a facility for everyone.

I consider it a privilege to have served as a Councillor since 2013 and have welcomed being part of such an enthusiastic group of people that, year by year, make up Kegworth Parish Council.
