Memorials
The Kegworth War Memorial is situated in the Church wall and lists 58 men from the First World War and 14 from the Second World War who died in the conflicts. It was paid for by public donations, and is maintained by the Parish Council, with regular cleaning and placing of flowers carried out by Shepshed Charnwood Rotary Club.
There is also a memorial to commemorate the Kegworth Air Disaster located at the top of the cemetery on Whatton Road. The air disaster took place on 8th January 1989 and the memorial remembers those who died, those who were injured and those who took part in the rescue operation. The soil on which the aircraft came to rest upon was removed and placed in the cemetery and forms the base for the memorial garden.
