Local Council Award Scheme Bronze Award

The Chair of the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) has confirmed that Kegworth Parish Council has achieved the Local Council Scheme Foundation Award.

Receiving the award is an excellent achievement which shows that the Parish Council achieves good practices in governance, community engagement and council improvement. Furthermore, the award shows that the Council has gone above and beyond legal obligations and continuously seeks opportunities to improve and develop further.

The NALC Chair wrote expressing his thanks to Donna Griggs, the Clerk, for her hard work in submitting the Foundation Award application and the additional work throughout the assessment process. He expressed his thanks to the Council, saying their service to their community and supporting the Local Council Award Scheme application was recognised and reflected in the achievement.
