This is who we are & what we do for you
Since 4th December 1894, Kegworth Parish Council has been a democratically elected body and comprises ten Councillors. Elections take place every four years, but vacancies can arise in between. Generally, these vacancies will be filled with representatives being co-opted on to the Council, or via an election which would take place if enough electors make it known that they wished this to happen.
Meetings of the Parish Council are generally held every first Monday of the month at 1 London Road, Kegworth. (except where the first Monday is a Bank Holiday and then it is held on the second Monday of the month). The Annual Parish Meeting must be held between 1st March and 1st June and the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council has to be held in May each year when, by law, the first order of business must be to elect a new Chairman.

Councillors
-
There are ten Parish Councillors at Kegworth, all of whom give their time as elected representatives and work together to make your village a better place to be. A good Councillor listens to input from residents and businesses in order to form an opinion on how people would like to shape their village. You can contact a Councillor via the Parish Clerk or directly using the details provided.
